The Worst Way to Die: The Nutty Putty Cave

This month all you spelunkers and cave dwellers grab your gear and be weary of your surroundings. This episode we will be exploring the Nutty Putty Cave of Utah and the story of how this cave came to be shut down forever. 

In November 2009 John Edward Jones became trapped while exploring Nutty Putty Cave in Utah. Jones mistakenly entered a narrow, unmapped passage, believing it led to a larger chamber, and became wedged upside down in a tight crevice. Rescue teams worked for more than 24 hours to free him, but the cave's extremely confined conditions made the operation exceptionally difficult.
